The checklist book is a finished product that is bound with a plastic comb binding. The comb binding makes this book durable for frequent and heavy use.

Cards issued through 1989
Cards issued through 1989 are listed with multiple years per page. Due to the fact that there were less NFL sets created before 1990, we listed the cards by year, company and by card number.
Cards issued from 1990
For cards issued from 1990, we print the years on separate pages. The heading of each page displays the team name and year. The cards are grouped by the MAIN SET name, somewhat like an outline.
The MAIN SET name is in bold and underlined.
Then under each main group we display the cards from the base set by identifying those cards as ‘(base)’.
We group each subset such as parallel and insert sets, with a space between each subset. The parallel color sets (i.e. blue, bronze, green, platinum blue, silver, red …etc) are listed right after the (base) cards. Then the rest of the subsets are listed in alphabetical order.
